Marianka – Slovakia

International Flute Masterclass in Marianka is intended for advanced music school students, students of music universities, music teachers as well as passionated amateurs who want to spend a week of intensive work on the repertoire of their choice. Our aim is to provide the participants the highest artistic quality as well as opportunities to become familiar with playing technique, interpretation and style differences.

The Masterclass is placed in beautiful surroundings and nature of Marianka, only 15 km from the Slovak capital city Bratislava. Marianka is the oldest pilgrimage place in Slovakia. It hosted the most famous monarchs and an endless amount of pilgrims and its surroundings offers the participants a great environment for their  musical and artistic development.

Birgit Ramsl-Gaal

Even before having completed all her academic studies, Birgit Ramsl-Gaal was hired as Principal Flute in the Orchestra of the Volksoper Vienna. Since march 2014, she is now professor for flute at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (Franz Schubert Institute for woodwinds).

Birgit Ramsl-Gaal has won many prizes at national and international competitions. As a soloist, she has performed all major flute concertos with orchestras such as the Tonkünstler Orchestra Niederösterreich, the Philharmonia Vienna, the Ensemble Orchestral de Paris, the Camerata Hamburg, the Tokyo Chamber Orchestra, the Vienna Symphony Orchestra Baroque Ensemble (Barockensemble der Wiener Symphoniker), the Hof Symphony Orchestra (Hofer Symphoniker), the Brasov Philharmonic Orchestra, the Women’s Chamber Orchestra of Austria (Frauenkammerorchester von Österreich), the Innviertler Symphonie Orchester and the Hongkong Academy Orchestra.

In January 2014, she gave her debut concerts as a soloist in Japan (at the Suntory Hall) and South Korea (at the Seoul Arts Center) with the Symphony Orchestra of the Vienna Volksoper. She leads master classes in Austria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, South America and Asia and has been a faculty member of the Asian Youth Orchestra in Hongkong since 2015.

Marcela Lechtová

Young Slovak flutist, Marcela Lechtová became only with 27 flute professor at the State Conservatoire in Bratislava and since oktober 2014 she leads her own flute class at the Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra (department of music).

Marcela Lechtova gave her debut as soloist in Bayerischen Rundfunk with Munich Radio Symphony Orchestra in 2010 in the live broadcasted concert Stars of tomorrow with the conductor Constatntin Trinks. In the same year she won the audition of the international chamber music academy „Villa musica“ and preformed since then with number of outstanding artists in Germany. She has also been an artist of the Rotary Club International Orchestra Exchange in San Diego, the Yehudi Menuhuin Live Music Now Foundation and the Vita Activa Foundation in Vienna.

She founded the chamber music groups Ensemble Levante and Wiener Kammertrio where she performes with Austrian baritone Raphael Fingerlos, baritone Thomas Weinhappel, mezzo-soprano Elisabeth Fruhmann and soprano Caroline Philipp. She is co-founder and artistic director of the association CEFMAC and gives successfully workshops and master classes on modern, as well on baroque flute in Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Hungary.

INFORMATION



Beginning of the course: Monday, 10/07/2017 at 10 am, registration opens at 8:30 am.

End of the course: Friday, 14/07/2017 in the afternoon.

Course Content: Daily collective warming-up and 4 individual lessons (2 with both tutors).

Place of the classes: The classes take place in the music rooms of the hotel Andromeda-wellness in Marianka (15km to Bratislava).

 

AccomModation



We offer an accommodation in the appartements of Andromeda-wellness on request in double rooms for 50€/night or single rooms for 90€/night, breakfast is included. If you are interested please write down your arrival and departure dates and the room type you wish to book in the application form. There is only limited amount of the rooms in the hotel.

 

APPLICATION



The application is complete with sending the online application form and payment of the registration fee of 50€ (only for active Participants) to the bank account of CEFMAC. The registration fee is non-refundable. We reserve to cancel a course due to poor attendance. In this case payed fees will be refunded.
