Central European Forum for Music, Art and Culture (CEFMAC) was founded with the aim of supporting education and presentation of young artists and musicians in Slovakia.
Since 2012, the association has been organizing music seminars and international master classes in Marianka, which have been led by Slovakian and international lecturers, among others Karl-Heinz Schütz (A), Erwin Klambauer (A), Robert Wolf (A), Anna Gutowska (PL), Dalibor Karvay (SK).
In the year 2013 the classical music festival Marianka Music Summer was founded. The concerts took place in the concert hall of the pilgrimage house and in the beautifull baroque Bazilika Minor in Marianka and in St. Peters and Pauls church in Zahorska Bystrica. Many Slovakian and iternational artists performed on the festival, among others baritone Rafael Fingerlos (A), soprano Nao Higano (JAP/SK), pianist Daniel Overly (USA) and organist Miklós Albert (H).
Our aims:
Creation of opportunities for further professional music training for students of art colleges, conservatories and music schools, music teachers, young artists, as well as a wider audience with an interest in classical music.
Organization of seminars, master classes, symposia, concerts and festivals with the aim of distributing and presenting classical music in Slovakia and in other countries of the European Union.
Creation of partnerships and international networks between cultural organizations and artists within the European Union which lead to broader intercultural dialogue, international mobility, as well as cross-border exchanges of cultural traditions and values.
